Before & After: The Emmett House
Every home has the potential to feel fresh, functional, and full of life, and a full-gut-remodel may not be needed to do so. The Emmett House is a prime example we are proud to show off. Here’s what we did.
Previously draped with 90s-era furnishings and finishes, we transformed the entire look of this house with a light remodel. This home now feels brighter and more welcoming—just the renovation our clients were dreaming of.
KITCHEN & DINING AREA
The kitchen received a completely new look without major gutting—painted cabinets with new faces, upgraded lighting, sleek hardware, and a new pantry door. The palette remains neutral, but with lighter, airier tones that instantly lift the mood. We’ve selected bar stools, dining chairs, and a round dining table, giving an elegant and airy feel to the space.
LIVING AREA
Fresh paint, fresh furnishings, and a new fireplace. In the living room, thoughtful furniture choices were made for comfort without sacrificing style. Our electric reclining sofa is a stand-out piece—we offer a handful of reclining seating options and we love putting them in our clients homes because we know you’ll love them, too.
In terms of renovation throughout the entire home, we replaced all the flooring with hardwood and built a new fireplace. That was the only deep-digging—allowing other changes, like painting the trim and swapping lighting, to be a budget-friendly face lift that made a significant difference.
OFFICE SPACE
The office now boasts a double-desk setup, comfortable chairs to work from, and a lovely rug that makes office days at home feel delightful. In tandem with the rest of the home, we kept all the bones as is, but painted the walls, trim, windows, and swapped out the french doors.
The result of this home remodel is one that feels undeniably welcoming. Working with our clients wants and needs and their budget, this home is proof that with selective updates and a clear vision, a house can take on a whole new feel. We’d love to know what we can do for your home, next.
